Lil Nas X Responds to Criticism for Montero’s ‘Devil’ Video
Rapper Lil Nas X answered all the criticism that came up with his new music video, Montero (Call Me By Your Name), which contains a scene of him twerking in front of the devil.
The video for his latest music was released last Friday (26/3) and contains a number of scenes with Bible references and ancient Greek stories.
In one scene, Lil Nas X descends through a stake into Hell and seduces Satan, giving him a controversial lap dance.
The video was judged by a number of netizens to be inappropriate and immoral for children. Lil Nas X then responded to this criticism and said that his music was never made for children.
“Showing off the Call Me By Your Name video to my three-month-old nephew,” Lil Nas X said in a satirical tweet at the weekend.
“And he said, uncle is quite an extraordinary visual why in heaven there are people who are angry over a sensational work. ‘Crying bye,” he continued.

Not only that, the video is even accused of being part of a Western music industry “system” conspiracy to plague children.
“There is no system involved. I made the decision myself to create the music video. I am an adult. I will not spend my career serving your children. That’s your job,” said Lil Nas X.
“You say a black gay twerking to the CGI devil is an apocalypse like slavery and the holocaust just doesn’t happen,” said Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X seemed to have expected this harsh reaction. On Friday (26/3), the musician named Montero Lamar Hill expressed his prediction in a letter to himself, who is 14 years old.
“I wrote a song with our names in it. It’s about a guy we met last summer,” said Lil Nas X.
y’all saying a gay nigga twerking on a cgi satan is the end of times like slavery and the holocaust didn’t happen

“I know we promise never to come out openly, I know we promise never to be ‘that’ gay type, I know we promised to die in secret, but it will open the door to lots of other queer just to be there,” he continued.
“You see this is very scary for me, people will get angry, they will say I carry an agenda. But the truth is, it’s me. An agenda to make people take care of other people’s lives and stop dictating who they should be,” said Lil Nas X. (Stage House Music)
